The Palace Hotel and Branded Apartments is a lifestyle hotel and branded apartments destination and one of the main anchors for the DCH Island. In keeping with Emaar's architectural approach, the building is a contemporary interpretation of the local context, with an elegant simplicity and a modulated and proportioned facade with a noticeable capping.
In order to differentiate the branded apartments over the hotel component, there are subtle variations in the facades of both entities. Materials are slightly textured and slightly off white to better offset the window frames and balustrades.
The Palace Hotel & Apartments sits adjacent the `Creek Quay' section of the promenade facing the Calatrava Tower across the canal. The site is bounded on one side by the Calatrava designed bridge and on the other side, an access sika.
Numerous studies were done on the site to explore different massing options and different view corridors before settling on the current proposal. The building is raised 1m above the existing road level from the island side.
