This was a phased redevelopment proposal for the existing Crowne Plaza Hotel. Located on the north-eastern tip of Bahrain’s main island, the site is in the heart of the Diplomatic and Financial district of Bahrain’s capital city, Al Manamah.
The 246 key hotel consists of a series of low-rise triangular-shaped courtyard buildings. The aim of the re-development was to take advantage of the hotel’s prime location, improve the hotel’s brand recognition and enhance the guest experience.
The proposed redevelopment increased the number of keys to 350 in the first phase and between 126 – 300 key hotel/serviced apartments in the second phase. An upgraded health club and podium with 25 m pool and spa along with a refurbishment of the existing conference centre and restaurants that take advantage of the city views complete the offering for this hotel.
